Only parts of us will ever touch parts of others. - Marilyn Monroe
Our thoughts are our own. Our emotions are our own. Our intentions are our own. We might confide in others at times, but the entirety of who we are is never revealed.
And so we are alone in some ways (as Marilyn Monroe concludes).
While that sounds poignant, don't despair. Instead of loneliness, comfort can be felt in the silence. Of being at peace with our thoughts. Of being happy with who we are. Of finding purpose in our lives.
There won't be emptiness if we find fulfillment.
