Earning Respect

Do get other people's support, you have to be able to earn their respect first.

And how do you do that?

1. Capability and Competence. You have to prove that you're capable. That you're someone they can rely on to get things done, whatever the situation. You see things through, whatever obstacle you find on your path.
2. Integrity. You have to be someone they can trust. Someone who has values. Ideally, someone whose values are aligned with theirs. Someone who makes good on their promise, and would never leave them hanging. You also have to be authentic, sincere, true.

You have to have the knowledge and the skills, along with the heart.
