Eat Before Going Grocery Shopping
We went to the supermarket today. And while I added easy-to-cook, processed meat in my grocery list, I skipped that aisle instead. I didn't get the cravings I usually did. It's probably because we ate chicken and pork barbecue for dinner, just before going to the grocery. And I couldn't even think about having meat for the next meal.
I did toss in instant noodles in the cart, but I removed them when I was at the cashier. I remembered: when unhealthy food isn't in the house, then we won't eat junk. So, I'm keeping them out.
I guess that does work—having a meal before going to the supermarket helps lower the bill and lessens the chances of giving in to unhealthy temptations. I'll have to be more intentional about that in the future.
