We're all flawed. That's part of being human. We make mistakes. We sometimes let our emotions dictate our actions. We give in to temptations—choosing what's easy instead of what's right.
We need to acknowledge that weakness.
So that we can recognize it when it comes knocking and we can shoo it away, and so that we can forgive ourselves when it breaks through the surface.
That even though we strive to be good, to do good, to do better, we're all still humans. Not to be taken as an excuse, but as a reminder to be kind to ourselves too. To live a virtuous life, to push ourselves, to remain disciplined, but to also accept that mistakes are part of the story.
