Let It Suck
Before you can become great at anything, you gotta suck. The first iteration is the starting point. It's to begin the process, not to finish it.
In writing, Ann Handley calls it The Ugly First Draft. That's what it is. Ugly, messy, confusing, weak. First drafts suck. Every writer would agree. Good writing only comes after revisions. After you've removed the clutter, strengthened each sentence, and gave it music.
And that's how it is with a lot of things. Your first campaign idea will suck. Your first client presentation. Your first live video. Your first interview.
You have to embrace that part of the process. Don't be afraid of producing something that sucks. Don't be embarrassed. It just is. And the sooner you get over it, the sooner you'll become better.
Let it suck. Then keep improving your work, your skills, your craft.
