Okay, What Now?
Plans rarely go perfectly. Schedules aren't always followed. Life throws surprises all the time, and they're often inconvenient.
We can be angry and frustrated and let those events ruin our day, but that won't help us. We'll just be wasting mental and emotional energy.
I follow one rule: don't dwell.
Emotions may come to surface immediately following an inconvenient surprise—let them go just as quickly.
Shift from thinking about what happened to thinking about what to do next.
When something happens, don't dwell. Ask: Okay, what now?
