Preparing for Whatever Comes
"The ultimate form of preparation is not planning for a specific scenario, but a mindset that can handle uncertainty."
- James Clear
I see it as training our figure-it-out muscle. We should regularly venture out of our comfort zone, widening out the circle more and more, because that's where uncertainty lies. That's where we can grow the most.
By constantly exposing ourselves to new things, we become used to the feeling of not knowing the path forward. And we become used to figuring things out as we go along.
And whenever uncertainty is thrown at us (which is often, because plans rarely go the way we want them to), we can always find direction. We can draw a new roadmap.
